OUR MATCHA

Dreamatcha's matcha is grown in the pristine hills of southern Japan, where tea cultivation is a centuries-old craft passed down through generations. Our matcha comes from organic family farms in Kyoto and Kagoshima – known for their ideal climate, fertile volcanic soil, and deep-rooted tea culture.

The leaves are carefully shade-grown to boost chlorophyll and L-theanine content, hand-picked, steamed, dried, and slowly stone-ground into ultra-fine powder to preserve their color, flavor, and nutrients.

What makes matcha so magical?

Key features

Antioxidants

Matcha is rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) – a powerful antioxidant that supports health in various ways

Focus & Mood Support

Matcha contains L-theanine which is an amino acid that calms the nervous system and boosts dopamine and serotonin, helping improve concentration, clarity, and calm.

Longlasting Energy

Matcha contains less caffeine than coffee - approx. 30–70 mg per cup vs. coffee has 80-120mg per cup but its effect is smoother and longer-lasting.

more about EGCG & L-Theanine

  • EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) is a powerful antioxidant that:

    • Supports glowing skin by fighting inflammation and helping protect collagen
    • Boost metabolism by gently supporting fat oxidation during movement
    • Promote heart health by supporting healthy cholesterol levels and blood flow
    • Help balance the immune system by modulating immune responses
    • Support brain function by reducing oxidative stress in the brain and improving mental clarity
  • L-theanine is an amino acid that:

    • Calms the nervous system by increasing alpha brain waves, which are linked to a calm, yet alert mental state – similar to meditation
    • Reduces levels of stress hormones like cortisol
    • Boosts calming neurotransmitters such as GABA, serotonin, and dopamine
    • Balances the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, helping the body shift from "fight or flight" into a more restful state
    • Helps to prevent caffeine crashes. It slows the absorption of caffeine, helping it release more gradually into the body. The result is longer-lasting energy without the jitters or heart palpitations.

How is matcha grown and enjoyed?

Grown with intention. Crafted with care. Enjoyed with presence.

High-quality matcha begins long before it meets your cup. It’s grown in the shade and slowly stone-ground into a vibrant green powder – a true ritual from start to finish.

Matcha

harvest

About three weeks before harvest, matcha tea plants are carefully shaded from the sun. This increases chlorophyll, deepens the green color, and boosts the amino acid L-theanine – the reason matcha feels so calming and smooth.

After harvest, only the youngest, most tender leaves are selected. The stems and veins are removed, and the leaves are steamed and dried to become Tencha – the raw material of real matcha.

The Tencha is ground slowly in granite mills, just 30 grams per hour, to preserve its flavor, nutrients, and color. This is what gives matcha its signature fine, silky texture.

Matcha

quality

Not all green powders are real matcha. True ceremonial-grade matcha is bright green, fresh in taste, and always made from shade-grown Tencha. You can see and feel the difference – it’s in the color, the aroma, the calm focus it brings.

how to

enjoy matcha

Traditionally, matcha is whisked with hot water to create a smooth, frothy drink. But today, you can enjoy it your way – hot, iced, with oat milk, or even in smoothies and treats.

However you prepare it, take a mindful moment. Matcha is more than a drink – it’s a little ritual of self-love.
